Database Server Migration
Scheduled Maintenance Report for VATSIM UK
Completed
Moodle is now back online.

We are still restoring network data to the main website and this will be completed within 24 hours.

All services should now be accessible as normal. If you have any issues, please raise a ticket at https://helpdesk.vatsim.uk or by emailing web-support@vatsim.uk.

Update
All services, with the exception of Moodle, have been migrated to our new database and are now back online.

You may notice that some of your network activity (controlling or flying history) do not appear on the website at the moment. This is to be expected and it'll be restored soon.

We expect Moodle to be unavailable for 2 to 3 hours.

Some of our larger datasets are taking a little longer to restore than we had anticipated.

Update
The migration has been completed for a number of services and we are working to finish our remaining services.

We don't expect this to take much longer, but it may go beyond the original maintenance window.

In progress
Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.

Scheduled
We plan to upgrade the infrastructure that powers our databases during this period, migrating them from a standalone server into a managed cluster. This will give us more flexibility for scaling in the future and improve resilience by adding more regular backups.

Access to our services during this time may be intermittent.

We would advise against completing reports in CTS or writing Forum posts during this time as data may be lost.
